Photoshop CC update 2015.5 released this past June included a significant change to the way masking can be done. The new Select and Mask feature essentially replaced what was previously called Refine Edge. I have heard and read a lot of complaints about the change. That isn’t too surprising though. Change always brings some complaints, especially big changes like this one.
In this video tutorial I take you on a thorough tour of the new Select and Mask, sharing how I use it and why I (mostly) like it. I also share my opinions about where it is lacking and how I think it could be improved.
